[Mediapen=Na Gwang-ho] Hanwhasystems will invest $25 million in K4 Aeronautics, a leading American Personal Air Vehicle(PAV) company. They announced this plan on July 11th as part of their future strategy to enter the aerial taxi market which will become the next public transportation.

PAV is emerging as the new means of transportation to overcome environmental issues such as traffic congestion, infrastructural expansion limit and air pollution. Morgan Stanley estimated the PAV market to grow to $1.5 trillion by 2040.

Hanwhasystems has been actively seeking the opportunity to enter the PAV market to prepare for the future. They will participate in R&D, utilizing their avionics, systems integration and cyber security technology. 

An executive of Hanwhasystems stated that PAV is a very attractive business field, as they could leverge their aviation and information & communication technology. He added that Hanwhasystems will actively invest and cooperate with leading companies to expand their business portfolio.
