‘Easy Link’ system uses KT’s AI assistant ‘GiGA Genie.’ Renault Samsung and KT signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) last year to develop a artificial intelligence-based car infotainment system.

Infotainment system, a combination of information and entertainment technology, offers a number of benefits including music control, real-time data and car status alarm.

With Easy Link, drivers can now communicate and interact with their cars. Drivers don’t even have to press a button to activate the smart voice assistant.

All they need to do is call out ‘Genie’ and it will answer to you. Sadly, Genie won’t appear with a puff of blue smoke as in the movie Aladdin. But, Genie is there to grant all your wishes, not just three.

Kim Tae-jun, Renault Samsung’s business division head commented “We are working on a solution that ensures intuitive, easy and safe driving experience for our customers.” He added that Renault Samsung will lead the next-generation connected vehicle market with Easy Link.
