BMW Korea also announced 4 ways of proper car maintenance.

First is ‘taming’ the vehicle. New vehicles and machine parts need adjusting time to function properly. The driver should be careful about speeding and using breaks during that time.

Second, drivers should thoroughly manage consumable parts. BMW Korea’s CBS(Condition Based Service) inform drivers of the replacement cycle of consumable parts in consideration of driving distance, fuel consumption and driving conditions. BMW owners can also check replacement cycles in service centers with their smart keys.

Third is checking warning lights on the dashboard. There are dozens of warning lights depending on the vehicle’s conditions. The drivers should be aware of the meanings of each warning lights and how to deal with them.

Last but not least is regular inspection. Car owners should regularly visit the service center to check the engine system, safety parts and consumable parts. With regular inspections, the company can easily identify the causes in case of a future problem.

With this first ‘Auto Salon’ as a start, BMW Korea plans to actively communicate with the media and consumers to share information on various issues.
