[Mediapen=Kim Young-min] LG U+ is entering the cloud game market based on its 5G network. Partnering with Nvidia, the global leader in computer graphics, LG U+ is launching the cloud gaming service ‘GeForce NOW’ in Korea.

Nvidia is currently providing GeForce Now as a beta version to 300,000 users in the US and Europe. Grabbing the attention of gamers from all over the world, GeForce Now is expected to be the next generation of gaming platform.

With GeForce Now, LG U+ will deliver new gaming experiences with no limitations on place and device through its 5G network. Gamers can now enjoy more than 150 PC games on their smartphones without the need for powerful hardware. They no longer need to wait for downloading 20~100GB of game as it is a cloud service allowing them to stream games from servers.

“As the first mobile carrier partner of GeForce Now, LG U+ is very important”, said Kim Seung-kyu President of Nvidia Korea. He added “We are very pleased to introduce GeForce Now to domestic gamers based on 5G network of LG U+”.

“We will introduce world’s first clouding service based on 5G network guaranteeing ultra-low latency”, said Lee Sang-min senior managing director of LG U+. “LG U+ will continue to strengthen our AR, VR, gaming contents to provide new 5G services to customers”.
