[Mediapen=Lee Dong-eun] LG Electronics and Siemens signed a memorandum of understanding(MOU) for jointly developing a solution for intellectual manufacturing. 

Siemens Digital Industries is a German-based innovation and technology leader in industrial automation and digitalization, providing comprehensive solution from design to manufacturing. 

The two companies will strategically work together for the digital transformation in the manufacturing sector to improve productivity and efficiency. They will focus on ‘Digital Twin’ R&D and the digitalization of manufacturing technology such as 3D printing.

‘Digital Twin’ is a virtual twin of a product ready to be tested and simulated inside the computer. As companies can validate a process in advance, they can minimize losses and improve efficiency.
