‘Ford Internship Program’ in Korea started in 2013 to provide students with hands-on, career-specific experience and help them become experts in the car industry.

11 students from five universities were selected for this year’s program which ended on August 30. Ford Korea introduced one-to-one mentoring system this year to help students adapt more quickly during their 8-week lessons. The student also experienced Ford’s safety driving program ‘Driving Skills For Life’.

Students who have completed basic training will next go through on-the-job training with Ford Korea’s official dealers. They will receive technical education needed to become expert engineers. The dealers running the program will provide students with scholarships.

“Ford Korea has worked for the industry-academic cooperation since 1999, donating research vehicles and running internship programs”, said Jung Jae-hee, CEO of Ford Korea. He added “Our company will continue our efforts to bring up and support future experts in the car industry”.
