국내 AI 반도체 팹리스 스타트업 리벨리온(Rebellions)이 글로벌 시장 확장을 위한 4억 달러 규모의 초대형 자금 수혈에 성공했다.
31일(현지시간) 주요 외신에 따르면, 리벨리온은 이번 신규 투자 라운드에서 총 4억 달러(약 5400억원)를 모집했다. 이번 라운드에서 리벨리온이 인정받은 기업가치(Post-money valuation)는 25억 달러(약 3조4000억원)에 달한다.
Rebellions, a South Korean AI semiconductor fabless startup, has successfully secured a massive $400 million funding injection to fuel its global market expansion. According to major foreign media outlets on the 31st (local time), Rebellions raised a total of $400 million (approximately 540 billion won) in this latest investment round. In this round, Rebellions’ post-money valuation reached $2.5 billion (approximately 3.4 trillion won).

이번 투자는 사우디아라비아 국부펀드(PIF)가 설립한 AI 전문 투자사 알라트(Alat)와 싱가포르 정부 투자기관인 테마섹(Temasek)이 주도했다. 글로벌 큰손들의 참여로 리벨리온은 중동과 아시아 시장을 잇는 강력한 우군을 확보하게 됐다. 여기에 기존 주주들도 대거 참여하며 힘을 보탠 것으로 알려졌다.

The investment was led by Alat, an AI-focused investment firm established by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), and Temasek, a Singaporean government investment entity. With the participation of these global heavyweights, Rebellions has secured powerful allies connecting the Middle East and Asian markets. Existing shareholders also reportedly participated extensively to bolster the round.

Rebellions plans to deploy the large-scale capital to the mass production of its next-generation AI accelerator, 'REBEL,' and to enter the global data center market. In particular, as the company maximizes its corporate value ahead of its merger process with SAPEON, it is expected to gain significant momentum in the global competitiveness of the integrated entity and its future roadmap for an overseas listing, such as on the NASDAQ.
