[미디어펜=편집국]AI가 기업과 정부의 핵심 업무영역으로 깊숙이 침투하는 가운데, 삼성전자가 싱가포르 정부와 글로벌 '기업용 AI주권' 영토 확장에 나선다. 

생성형AI 도입의 최대 걸림돌인 '데이터 유출'과 '보안 취약점'을 칩셋 단계부터 원천 차단하는 하드웨어 방패를 앞세워, 글로벌 빅테크 기업이 쉽게 진입하지 못하는 공공안전 및 특수직 시장을 선점하겠다는 전략이다.

8일(현지시간) 싱가포르 스트레이츠 타임스외신에 따르면, 삼성전자는 싱가포르에서 열린 공공안전 공조전시회 '밀리폴 테크엑스2026'에서 싱가포르 내무부 산하 과학기술청과 공동 개발한 AI기반 현장대응시스템 '래피드케이스'를  공개했다.

이 프로젝트는 지난해 양 기관이 체결한 차세대 프론트라인 기술협력MOU의 첫 결실로, 삼성이 보유한 강력한 온디바이스AI 인프라와 군사표준보안 디바이스가 실제 국가치안에 투입된 대표적 사례다.

As artificial intelligence (AI) deeply penetrates the mission-critical operational areas of enterprises and governments, Samsung Electronics is expanding its global territory for 'enterprise AI sovereignty' in partnership with the Singaporean government. By leading with a hardware shield that completely blocks data leaks and security vulnerabilities—the biggest hurdles to generative AI adoption—from the chipset level, Samsung strategy is to preempt the public safety and specialized professional markets where global Big Tech giants cannot easily enter.

On the 8th (local time), according to foreign media including Singapore's The Straits Times, Samsung Electronics unveiled 'RapidCase,' an AI-powered frontline incident reporting tool co-developed with the Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) under the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs, at the public safety summit 'Milipol TechX (MTX) 2026' held in Singapore.

This project is the first milestone of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the two organizations last year to co-create next-generation frontline technologies. It serves as a prime example of Samsung’s powerful on-device AI infrastructure and defense-grade secure mobile devices deployed in actual national law enforcement environments.

현장 출동요원을 위해 설계된 '래피드케이스'는 갤럭시 스마트폰 및 태블릿에 탑재된 AI 엔진을 통해 구동된다. 공공안전요원이 현장에서 목격자 진술을 녹음하고 사진 및 영상증거를 확보하면, AI가 실시간으로 이를 텍스트로 변환하고 분석해 정식 사건조서초안을 자동으로 생성한다.

기존에 수작업으로 자료를 정리하고, 입력하는 데 최대 4시간이 소요되던 행정 프로세스가 90분 미만으로 대폭 단축되는 혁신이다. 

현장요원이 불필요한 서류 작업에 매몰되는 것을 막고, 치안유지와 긴급 구조라는 본연의 임무에 자원을 집중할 수 있도록 돕는다.

Cutting 4-Hour Paperwork to Under 90 Minutes… Innovation at the Scene via 'RapidCase'

Designed for responding frontline officers, 'RapidCase' operates via an AI engine integrated directly into Galaxy smartphones and tablets. When a public safety officer records eyewitness statements and captures photo or video evidence at the scene, the on-device AI converts it to text in real-time and analyzes it to automatically generate a draft incident report.

This is a breakthrough innovation that drastically reduces the administrative process, which previously took up to four hours of manual data sorting and logging, down to under 90 minutes. By preventing frontline personnel from being buried under disjointed paperwork, it allows them to focus their critical resources on their core missions: maintaining public safety and executing urgent rescue operations.

정부 기관이나 군·경 같은 기밀을 다루는 집단에서 AI도입을 가로막는 장벽은 '클라우드를 통한 데이터 유출 우려'다. 

삼성전자는 이를 정확히 파악하고, 자체 보안플랫폼인 '삼성 녹스'와 '온디바이스 AI'의 시너지를 핵심 카드로 제시했다.

삼성 싱가포르 법인의 통합 B2B 책임자인 티모시 탄 디렉터는 "조직이 카메라, 센서, 스마트폰 등 더 많은 단말기를 연결할수록 공급망의 모든 링크가 잠재적 취약점이 된다"며 하드웨어 기반 보안의 중요성을 역설했다.

삼성 녹스는 프로세서 칩셋 단계부터 암호화 및 데이터 격리가 이뤄지는 '타인 접근 불가능' 환경을 구축한다. 

미국 국방부를 비롯해 전세계 주요 정부기관으로부터 가장 많은 보안인증을 획득한 플랫폼으로, 전세계 3만5000개 이상의 기업과 20억 대가 넘는 기기를 통해 현장 검증을 마쳤다. 

정보가 외부 클라우드 서버로 이동하지 않고 기기 내부에서 자체 연산되는 온디바이스 AI와 녹스의 결합은, 공공 데이터가 외부로 흐르는 경로를 완벽히 통제한다.

For government agencies, militaries, and police forces handling highly confidential data, the ultimate barrier to AI adoption has been the fear of data leakage through the cloud. Timothy Tan, Director of Integrated B2B at Samsung Electronics Singapore, emphasized that as organizations connect more devices, hardware-based security becomes critical to protecting against potential vulnerabilities. Samsung Knox provides this by creating a tamper-resistant environment from the chip level up. 

Trusted by governments and holding numerous certifications, including from the US Department of Defense, Knox is trusted to secure devices for over 35,000 enterprises globally. Combined with on-device AI—where data is processed locally rather than on external clouds—it ensures comprehensive security.

삼성의 엔터프라이즈AI 전략은 스마트폰에만 머무르지 않는다. 가혹한 작전환경을 견딜 수 있도록 美군사표준규격과 IP68 방수·방진을 충족하는 '러기드(Rugged) 디바이스' 라인업을 기본 축으로 삼고, 에코시스템 파트너와 함께 생태계를 확장하고 있다.

우선 갤럭시 워치에 온디바이스 AI를 이식, 최전선 일선요원의 심박수, 스트레스 지수, 피부 온도를 실시간 감지해 중앙 지휘 통제소로 송신하는 현장 요원 웰빙·안전 시스템을 구축했다.

또 최신 가상현실기기인 '갤럭시 XR'을 활용해 가상 통제센터를 구현했다. 실시간 CCTV 피드와 입체적인 3D인터랙티브 지도를 가상공간에 띄워, 대형 재난발생시 현장 밖에서도 실시간으로 입체적 지휘가 가능한 디지털트윈환경을 제공한다.
