26일 말레이시아 증권거래소 공시에 따르면, 롯데케미칼 타이탄 이사회는 만장일치 표결을 통해 장선표 대표이사를 2026년 5월26일자로 이사회 의장에 공식 선임했다고 발표했다. 

장 의장은 지난 2024년 12월부터 당사의 총괄 사장직을 수행해 왔으며, 이번 인사를 통해 경영 실무와 이사회 감독 권한을 동시에 쥐고 아세안 석유화학 거버넌스를 주도하게 된다.

Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd has formally announced a pivotal restructuring of its leadership, electing Jang Seon Pyo as the chairman of the board, effective May 26, 2026. According to the regulatory filing submitted to Bursa Malaysia, Jang transitions into this apex governance role after successfully serving as the group's president since December 1, 2024. In his new capacity, Jang is tasked with elevating the listed producer’s compliance structures, steering board-level strategic oversight, and optimizing transparent communication channels with international capital market stakeholders.

공시 서류 원문에 따르면, 장선표 의장은 그동안 롯데케미칼 타이탄의 실무 총괄 사장으로 그룹 전반의 운영, 정책 집행 및 전략적 의사결정을 주도해 왔다. 의장직으로 전격 이동함에 따라, 장 의장은 단순히 사업을 집행하는 단계를 넘어 이사회를 총괄 리드하게 된다. 주주 이익을 보호하기 위한 우수한 기업 지배구조 관행을 정착시키고 이를 상시 모니터링하는 컨트롤 타워 역할을 수행할 예정이다.

롯데케미칼 타이탄 측은 "신임 의장이 이사회와 경영진 간의 유기적인 접점을 관리하는 동시에, 국내외 주주 및 금융 시장 투자자 등 스테이크홀더와 효과적인 소통을 보장할 것"이라고 공식 가치를 설명했다.

According to the official regulatory filings, Jang Seon Pyo has driven the group's overall operations, policy implementation, and strategic decisions as the president of Lotte Chemical Titan. Moving into the role of chairman, Jang transitions beyond managing day-to-day business execution to leading the board of directors. In this position, he is slated to function as a corporate control tower, establishing and monitoring good corporate governance practices to protect shareholder interests.Lotte Chemical Titan explained the strategic value of this transition, stating, 'The chairman will manage the interface between the board and management while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, including domestic and international shareholders and financial market investors'.
