[미디어펜=편집국]삼성물산이 참여한 방글라데시 수도 다카의 하즈라트 샤잘랄 국제공항 제3터미널 건설사업 공사비가 약 392억원 증액된다. 방글라데시 정부가 삼성물산과 일본 기업들이 구성한 컨소시엄의 기존 건설계약 변경안을 승인하면서 전체 계약금액이 약 2조2800억원으로 늘어나게 됐다.

15일 방글라데시 경제매체 더비즈니스스탠더드와 다카트리뷴 등에 따르면 방글라데시 정부 조달위원회는 다카 국제공항 확장사업의 건설공사 및 컨설팅 용역 계약 증액안을 승인했다.

이번에 승인된 두 계약의 증액 규모는 한화 약 833억원이다. 이 가운데 삼성물산이 참여한 건설공사 계약 증액분은 약 392억원이며, 나머지 약 441억원은 별도 컨설팅 용역 계약에 해당한다.

The construction contract for the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh, involving South Korea's Samsung C&T, is set to increase by approximately KRW 39.2 billion following government approval of a contract variation.

According to The Business Standard and Dhaka Tribune, Bangladesh's Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase approved variations to the airport expansion project's construction and consultancy contracts.

The combined value of the two increases is approximately KRW 83.3 billion. Of this amount, KRW 39.2 billion relates to the construction contract involving Samsung C&T, while the remaining KRW 44.1 billion concerns a separate consultancy services contract.

이번 증액 대상은 다카 국제공항 확장사업 1단계의 주요 건설공사 계약이다.

기존 공사계약 금액은 한화 약 2조2407억원이었으나 이번 승인으로 약 392억원이 추가돼 약 2조2800억원으로 늘어난다. 기존 계약 대비 증액률은 1.75%다.

시공사는 삼성물산과 일본 미쓰비시상사, 후지타가 구성한 에비에이션 다카 컨소시엄(Aviation Dhaka Consortium·ADC)이다.

삼성물산은 2019년 말부터 추진된 다카 국제공항 제3터미널 건설사업에 참여해 왔다. 방글라데시 공항 당국도 공식 홈페이지에서 삼성물산을 ADC의 구성사로 명시하고 있다.

이번 결정은 신규 건설사업 수주가 아니라 기존 공사계약 금액의 변경 승인이다. 증액분 역시 컨소시엄 전체 계약에 해당하며, 삼성물산에 개별적으로 귀속되는 금액은 공개되지 않았다.

The approved variation applies to the main construction contract under the first phase of the Dhaka airport expansion project.

The contract value will rise from approximately KRW 2.24 trillion to KRW 2.28 trillion, reflecting an increase of about KRW 39.2 billion, or 1.75%.

The contractor is Aviation Dhaka Consortium (ADC), comprising South Korea's Samsung C&T, Japan's Mitsubishi Corporation and Fujita Corporation.

Samsung C&T has participated in the airport's third-terminal construction project since its early stages. Bangladesh's airport authority also identifies the company as a member of ADC.

The latest decision concerns an adjustment to an existing construction contract rather than a new project award. The additional amount applies to the consortium as a whole, and Samsung C&T's individual share has not been disclosed.

방글라데시 정부는 건설공사 계약과 별도로 공항 확장사업의 컨설팅 용역 계약 증액도 승인했다.

컨설팅 계약금액은 기존 약 8395억원에서 약 1조2800억원으로 증가한다. 증액분은 약 441억원이 아니라 약 4406억원이 되는 것으로 보일 수 있으나, 원문 계약금액과 환율을 적용하면 기존 약 839억원에서 약 1280억원으로 증가하는 것이 정확하다.

따라서 컨설팅 용역 계약의 실제 증액 규모는 약 441억원이며, 기존 계약 대비 증가율은 약 52.48%다.

해당 컨설팅 업무는 일본 닛폰코에이와 오리엔탈컨설턴츠글로벌, 싱가포르 CPG컨설턴츠, 방글라데시 디벨롭먼트디자인컨설턴츠 등이 참여한 별도 컨소시엄이 수행한다.

건설공사와 컨설팅 용역을 합친 이번 계약 증액 규모는 약 833억원이다.

다만 컨설팅 계약 증액분은 삼성물산이 참여한 ADC의 건설계약과 별개다. 전체 증액 규모를 삼성물산의 추가 수주액으로 해석해서는 안 된다.

The Bangladesh government also approved a separate increase in the consultancy services contract for the airport expansion project.

The consultancy contract value will rise from approximately KRW 83.9 billion to KRW 128.0 billion, an increase of about KRW 44.1 billion, or approximately 52.48%.

The consultancy services are provided by a separate consortium involving Japan's Nippon Koei and Oriental Consultants Global, Singapore's CPG Consultants, and Bangladesh's Development Design Consultants.

Together, the construction and consultancy contract variations amount to approximately KRW 83.3 billion.

However, the consultancy contract is separate from the construction contract involving Samsung C&T. The total increase should not be interpreted as additional contract revenue attributable to the South Korean company.

하즈라트 샤잘랄 국제공항 제3터미널 건설사업은 방글라데시의 국제 항공 수송능력을 확대하기 위한 핵심 인프라 프로젝트다.

방글라데시 현지 매체 비디뉴스24(bdnews24)에 따르면 제3터미널 건설공정률은 99.93%에 이른다. 방글라데시 정부는 사업 완료 기한을 2027년 6월까지 연장했다.

비디뉴스24는 지난 9월 말 보도에서 공항 확장사업의 전체 사업비가 약 2조4164억원으로 늘어났다고 전했다. 이는 건설공사 계약금액뿐 아니라 사업 전반의 비용을 포함한 수치로, 이번에 승인된 개별 계약 증액과는 구분된다.

이번 정부 조달위원회의 승인으로 기존 공사계약의 변경 근거가 마련됐지만, 실제 변경계약 체결 여부와 삼성물산에 반영될 개별 계약금액은 추가 확인이 필요하다.

The construction of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport is a major infrastructure project aimed at expanding Bangladesh's international aviation capacity.

According to local news outlet bdnews24, construction of the terminal has reached 99.93% completion, while the project's completion deadline has been extended to June 2027.

In a report published in late September, bdnews24 said the overall project cost had increased to approximately KRW 2.42 trillion. This figure covers the broader airport expansion project and should be distinguished from the individual construction contract variation approved by the procurement committee.

While the latest government approval provides a basis for adjusting the existing construction contract, the execution of an amended agreement and the amount attributable specifically to Samsung C&T remain subject to further confirmation.
