[미디어펜=편집국]한일건설이 방글라데시 수도 다카의 도시철도 차량기지 건설사업에 참여한다. 현지 건설업체와 공동으로 수주한 사업의 정식 계약이 체결되면서 다카 도시철도 확충사업에 한국 건설사의 참여가 본격화됐다.

28일 방글라데시 국영 통신사 BSS와 현지 주요 언론에 따르면 방글라데시 도시철도 운영·건설기관 다카대중교통공사(DMTCL)는 지난 27일 다카 우타라 디아바리의 도시철도 6호선 차량기지에서 MRT 1호선과 5호선 북부구간 건설사업의 주요 계약 4건을 체결했다.

이 가운데 MRT 5호선 북부구간 차량기지 건설사업인 CP-02 패키지는 한국의 한일건설과 방글라데시 콘코드 프라가티 컨소시엄이 구성한 CPC-HANIL 합작 컨소시엄이 수행한다.

이 패키지의 계약금액은 1847억5200만 방글라데시 타카(한화 1979억원)다. 이는 컨소시엄 전체 계약금액이며 한일건설의 개별 계약 지분은 공개되지 않았다.

이번 사업은 방글라데시 정부와 일본국제협력기구(JICA)의 공동 재원으로 추진된다.

South Korea's Hanil Engineering & Construction will participate in the construction of a metro rail depot in Dhaka, Bangladesh, after a joint venture involving the company formally signed a construction contract.

According to Bangladesh's state news agency BSS and local media, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) signed four major construction agreements on October 27 for the MRT Line-1 and MRT Line-5 Northern Route projects.

The signing ceremony was held at the MRT Line-6 depot in Diabari, Uttara, Dhaka.

The CP-02 package for depot construction under MRT Line-5 Northern Route will be carried out by CPC-HANIL Joint Venture, comprising South Korea's Hanil Engineering & Construction and Bangladesh's Concord Pragatee Consortium.

The package is valued at Tk18.4752 billion. The amount represents the total joint venture contract value, while Hanil's individual share has not been disclosed.

The project is jointly financed by the Bangladesh government and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

방글라데시 도로교통·고속도로부에 따르면 다카대중교통공사는 지난 27일 MRT 1호선과 MRT 5호선 북부구간에 속한 건설 패키지 4건의 계약을 체결했다.

계약식에는 모하마드 지아울 하크 방글라데시 도로교통·고속도로부 차관 등 정부 및 사업 관계자들이 참석했다.

한일건설이 참여한 CPC-HANIL 컨소시엄은 MRT 5호선 북부구간 차량기지의 토목·건축공사를 담당한다.

이 계약은 지난 1일 방글라데시 정부의 낙찰 승인에 이어 체결된 정식 건설계약이다.

방글라데시 정부는 당시 MRT 1호선과 5호선 북부구간의 주요 공사 패키지 8건에 대한 계약을 승인했다. 이 가운데 한일건설이 참여한 차량기지 사업의 승인금액은 1847억5200만 타카였다.

Senior government and project officials attended the ceremony, including Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Mohammad Ziaul Haque.

The CPC-HANIL Joint Venture, which includes Hanil Engineering & Construction, will undertake the civil and building works for the MRT Line-5 Northern Route depot.

The formal contract follows the Bangladesh government's approval of the procurement award on October 1.

At that time, the government approved eight major construction packages for MRT Line-1 and MRT Line-5 Northern Route, including the depot package valued at Tk18.4752 billion.

한일건설이 참여하는 CP-02 패키지는 도시철도 차량기지의 주요 운영·정비시설을 건설하는 사업이다.

사업 범위에는 행정동과 운영관제센터(OCC), 차량기지 관제센터(DCC), 열차 유치선, 창고, 정비 작업장 등이 포함된다.

운영관제센터는 도시철도 열차 운행을 관리하는 시설이며, 차량기지 관제센터는 차량의 입출고와 기지 내 운용을 지원하는 핵심 설비다.

열차 유치선과 정비 작업장은 운행을 마친 차량을 보관하고 점검·정비하는 데 사용된다.

이 사업은 단순한 건축공사를 넘어 도시철도 운영에 필요한 차량 관리·정비 인프라를 구축한다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

MRT 5호선 북부구간은 다카 서부 헤마예트푸르에서 바타라를 연결하는 도시철도 사업이다. 차량기지 공사는 향후 노선 운영을 뒷받침하는 기반시설에 해당한다.

The CP-02 package covers key operational and maintenance infrastructure for the MRT Line-5 Northern Route depot.

Its scope includes administrative buildings, an Operations Control Centre (OCC), a Depot Control Centre (DCC), stabling yards, warehouses and workshop sheds.

The OCC will support the management of train operations, while the DCC will oversee train movements and activities within the depot.

Stabling yards and maintenance workshops will provide facilities for storing, inspecting and servicing rolling stock.

The contract therefore covers infrastructure essential to the operation and maintenance of the metro system, rather than only conventional building construction.

The MRT Line-5 Northern Route is planned to connect Hemayetpur in western Dhaka with Bhatara. The depot will form part of the infrastructure supporting future operations on the line.

이번 차량기지 건설사업은 방글라데시 정부와 일본국제협력기구의 공동 재원으로 추진된다.

방글라데시 정부는 수도 다카의 교통 혼잡을 완화하고 대중교통 수송능력을 확대하기 위해 MRT 1호선과 5호선 건설사업을 추진하고 있다.

27일 체결된 계약 4건에는 한일건설 컨소시엄의 차량기지 공사 외에도 MRT 1호선 차량기지와 고가철도 구간, MRT 5호선 북부구간 고가철도 및 역사 건설사업이 포함됐다.

MRT 5호선 북부구간의 또 다른 패키지인 CP-03은 중국철도그룹(CREC) 등이 참여하는 컨소시엄이 맡는다. 해당 사업에는 약 6.5㎞의 고가철도와 5개 역 건설이 포함된다.

한일건설은 현지 기업과의 컨소시엄을 통해 차량기지 분야에 참여하면서 방글라데시 도시철도 인프라 시장에서 사업 수행 기반을 확보하게 됐다.

이 계약은 일본의 개발금융이 투입되는 방글라데시 교통 인프라 사업에 한국 건설업체가 참여한 사례라는 점에서도 주목된다.

Bangladesh is developing MRT Line-1 and MRT Line-5 to address severe traffic congestion in Dhaka and expand the capacity of its public transportation network.

The four agreements signed on October 27 include the depot contract involving Hanil, as well as additional depot, elevated railway and station construction packages under the two metro projects.

Another package under MRT Line-5 Northern Route, CP-03, will be carried out by a consortium involving China Railway Group and other partners. It covers approximately 6.5 kilometres of elevated railway and five stations.

By participating in the depot package alongside a Bangladeshi partner, Hanil is establishing a project delivery presence in the country's expanding urban rail infrastructure market.

The contract also represents an example of a South Korean construction company participating in a Bangladeshi transportation infrastructure project supported by Japanese development finance.
